PROJECT: CHILDREN LITERATURE

 

Target Audience:  Elementary School Students from 1st to 5th years.

Period: 8 weeks

Justification:

Aware that the English language is part of the context in which he lives and is notorious the importance of learning English nowadays. Show the student that, through the English language, the individual may project in the world and have access to knowledge of various levels, so it is taking a real "world citizen". These literatures have basic structures easy to understand.

It is a richly illustrated narrative.

 

General objective:

Read and value reading as a source of information and pleasure.

 

Specific objectives:

Develop the ability to read and understand;

Fix the main communicative forms and vocabulary.

Explore the visuals;

Read carefully seeking specific information (scanning);

Search central idea, not bothering to detail (skimming);  

 

Contents encompassed:

 

Language: nouns, adjectives, colors

Mathematics: Exploring sizes, shapes, numbers

 

Ethics: feelings, values, competitions

Arts: pictorial reading, visual interpretation

 

Development:

Reading and interpretation of the text according to each grade and subject of the book chosen, preparation of books / portfolio, literary form, drama, production of characters for display, puppets, different ways to present the dramatization, audio and production of panels according to each theme.

Culminastion:

Display panels, activities and presentations of each topic addressed

 

Evaluation:

The assessment of learning is an ongoing process and will be made from the valuation and monitoring performance, the interest and participation of the student in the activities proposed an increase of written activities.

 

Conclusion:

The project permeated in activities of reading, listening, writing, staging, production and exhibition of the work done by children. The result of the activities was achieved was the development of oral languge, exploited from the prior knowledge along with textbooks from Macmilan and had a satisfactory development. There was interaction between students and school officials storage capacity, the playful, creating, expanding horizons and the ability to reflect and transform.
